CADENCES
After every home football game, the band marches through the streets of Berkeley, ultimately high stepping the last 50 yards or so to a halt on Sproul Plaza. Traditionally, the piccolos play a cadence during this march down. Other sections of the band have played cadences, but it is the piccolo section that has most consistently mantained the tradition. Here are some of the cadences that the piccolos have performed over the years:

  • The Bare Necessities (Terry Gilkyson, arr. Tim Castro)
  • Danny Boy (arr. Scott Sutherland)
